Kia has chosen a lantern tutorial for us to use this week for the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge. I found this to be just a wee bit challenging but as always, I learned a lot and can't wait to try again!
I actually thought this was not going to come together for me because I really cannot draw but a friend told me that I could do this so I did! This was my second attempt and as always, there are some things that didn't turn out quite as well but overall it's much better! My cat stepped in my yellow paint and then proceeded to step in the blue changing the blue paint halfway through the painting! I think I managed to make it work but aggh! When I squealed with displeasure and grabbed her up, she looked at me like, "what?" and then wondered why on earth I was washing her paw!
I can't wait to see your lanterns this week!

Angie, its gorgeous and I love the lantern sitting there on a snowy, cold night.Good job with the stars and I like the flames shining on the ground snow. Oh no.....kitty just wanted to help, I'm sure. She probably wanted to leave her paw print (signature) on your card.

You did a great job,! The lantern glow is super. So nice that you had help from your kitty - they sure can make life more interesting with their desire to always be involved.

Beautiful Angela. I love how you changed up the lantern and I am loving your stars. I too have learned so much from these challenges, so I get what you mean.

You did a super job sketching a lantern, Angie, and making this your own.
I am particularly fond of the mix of semi square segueing into round as it reaches the top then surprising us with the square loop. Totally fun stuff!
You have created a beautiful light glow, too.

Great lights in your sky from the lantern! And at least kitty did not step on the watercolor! I can just imagine the look on her face when you picked her up! lol
