I used DOX inks to create four small tags with wrinkle free distress backgrounds.
Clockwise from 12 o clock - Karen Burniston Feathered Animals owl perched in a Penny Black twig frame. Tag from LOTV. The lower part of the card was stencilled with Sweet Dixie Fern Flourish and some texture paste. When dry, I painted it with watercolours. There's also a little stencilled snow using white acrylic in the upper part. The holly leaves use the Faux Glass Flowers tutorial. I used a Spellbinders poinsettia leaf, stamped with a script stamp and followed the tutorial. Berries are IO Stitched Holly.
The next one was sprinkled with blue and green Brusho powders, and then I used a TCW diamond stencil with glass bead gel. When dry, you can brush off any remaining Brusho powder that wasn't activate by the gel. I used silver cording, and hung an ornament (MFT die) cut from alcohol inks on Yupo, edged with a silver pen and with a gold Noel added. The holly is X-cut, and I edged it with Stickles, also adding some in the centres of the diamonds.
The next two are non-Christmas ones. I taped Carabelle Time Flies stencil over one tag and stippled black acrylic over it. The sentiment was stamped on a sponged scrap of Eclipse tape, so I stuck it straight to the card - it's from Art Journey's Your Wings. I tied it with gold cording and added an orangey gold Stickles all round the edges. It's finished with an X-Cut butterfly in silver glitter card with pearls, and some sequins.
The last one is TH Rose stencil, and texture paste - after I'd done a little background stamping. When it was dry I put the stencil back over it and coloured with DOX re-inkers. I used some chunky EP to add a little texture, and added white acrylic paint dots. I used polka-dot organza ribbon for a tie, and edged it with Stardust Stickles. The butterfly is Penny Black Perched on Lace stamped and embossed with white on vellum, coloured from the back with Sharpies and then coated with Stickles. Sentiment from SU's Label Me Bold.
