I have so many favorite books, that I couldn't pick just one for the challenge. I read everything - from history (just read "The Dead and Those About to Die" {non-ficttion about D-Day}, "Cinderella" {mystery by Ed McBain}, and reread "Year of Wonders" {a novel about the plague in England in 1666}.
I made two of these, one for our tea party recipient, and a second one for a friend.
The saying inside for my friend says,
"Books are like people, only interesting."

first thought...help, I've fallen and can't get up...buried under a pile of books...that could definitely be me. I like the bold stripes in your signature color and the contrast of that pile of books!

Ha, I laughed out loud at your sentiment. I read a book earlier this year that was half plague, half modern - The Weight of Ink. Very interesting, in the light of what was to come...I'd bought it as my first for the Kindle (Christmas gift) because I couldn't get it in the library.
I also like the way your books look like a mountain range, which fits the idea of exploring the world through the written page.

Great card -- greater sentiment. Love it all and I am sure Bill will love it too. I'm with your -- I don't know how anyone can pick a favorite book when there are just so many great books out there.
