The photo of the bauble wreath & tree on the website for the inspiration challenge inspired my card. I got the design idea from an old Operation Write Home sketch.
I stamped the wreath onto smooth bristol paper with FadeOut ink. I used my Tombow markers to color the circles & ribbon. I wanted to fill the wreath out more and add some shine, so I pulled 2 stamps from "Bokeh Dots." I stamped them in Versamark, and heat embossed with silver. Then I repeated the process with the Glacier Blue powder. I heat embossed my greeting with silver onto a strip of teal cardstock.
I die cut the circle mat twice from the same teal as the greeting strip. Since my image circle would hang above the card base, I wanted to make sure it was sturdy. It still was a bit floppy even with the 2 layers, so I die cut 2 more from another blue cardstock scrap. I glued those together, then glued the teal ones to the front & back of the first 2 circles. I glued my image circle to that, and that finished this element.
I cut down an A2 card base to 4-1/4" square. I adhered a piece of patterned paper from my scrap stash to the front. To position the circle, I used my grid mat to make sure it didn't extend past 5-1/2", including the card base. I flipped the card over, holding the 2 pieces together, and marked a line where the circle met the base. I applied liquid glue to the back of the circle below that line, and stuck the circle to my card base.
