I had a background from a class that I'd done that, while pretty, didn't turn out quite right. So, since it was bright (I'd used Distress Oxide reinkers over the surface), I decided to try using it for this challenge. I used the sketch from the current Christmas Card Throwdown for my design inspiration.
I stamped several snowflakes over the panel & heat embossed them with clear powder. I then blended Black Soot Distress Oxide ink over the surface, for the Black Magic technique. However, the surface of the cardstock was slick from the technique I'd done before, so the ink kind of streaked. I dried it with my heat tool anyway, and tried again with black acrylic paint. Same result. So I wiped off the paint, and went over the panel again with Black Soot Oxide, this time doing direct-to-paper, rather than using a blending tool. That got better coverage, so I dried it with my heat tool & wiped the excess off the snowflakes. You can still see the color under the black, but I think it's good enough for jazz.
I triple-stamped the greeting on a scrap of white cardstock with Tide Pool ink, then cut that into a diamond with a square die. I die cut another square from the same white scrap, and inked it with Tide Pool, going direct-to-paper. Then I used that to mat my greeting diamond.
I cut a piece of patterned paper to 4-1/8x5-3/8", and adhered it to my white card base. I cut my snowflake panel into 2 strips, and adhered them to the card. Finally, I glued down my greeting, using my T-square ruler to make sure it was straight.

This looks AWESOME! I love the Black Magic technique on your snowflakes. It's perfect for showcasing technicolor snow. The bright pink background and the Jingle sentiment complement your snowflakes perfectly! Thank you for playing in my challenge!
