I decided to start with a pumpkin stamp and use fade out ink. Then I used my paintbrush and made my pumpkin a plaid pumpkin! This was my second attempt so I changed it up and painted the vertical lines first. It seemed easier to add the horizontal pattern.

Fantastic take on the challenge with your pumpkin. It looks like fabric. Thanks for the comment on you had better results doing the vertical lines first. TFS

Angie, I love this. It is such a wonderful pumpkin out on the ground under a blue sky....looking like that is where it grew. That is exactly the pumpkin I tried and wanted to do. I like that you said you did the vertical lines first. Maybe that is why I could never make mine work. I did horizontal first. Beautiful card.

Aha, yes, the vertical lines first would definitely make the horizontal lines easier. I love your sweet CAS Thanksgiving card! Sure was fun, wasn't it? You know how much fun I had :0)
