Hello and welcome to another Color Challenge. Our host this week is Chris and the wonderful colors she chose are Misty Moonlight, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron. âeoeYour fave yellowâe is the dessert option.
Every week I am so inspired by our talented Color Challenge Design Team. Lately I've been admiring their beautiful stamped and die cut floral arrangements on their cards. For my card I took a cue from these talented women and did a little floral arranging of my own.
To begin, I cut a piece of blue cardstock into a 4âe x 5-1/4 panel. To make cardstock look similar to Misty Midnight, I blended Faded Jeans Distress ink all over it. I just couldn't leave well enough alone, so I grabbed a stencil and blended white ink over the blue.
Next, I die cut a large flower and two smaller ones out of coral cardstock. Then, I die cut the leaves. âeoeYour fave yellowâe is the dessert option, so I used yellow for the flower center and for a few sprigs. A simple sentiment was added to the card to finish things off.
I do hope you enjoy my card and find inspiration as I did from our wonderful Design Team.

Marianne, I love your stenciled background for your happy and colorful flowers! This is a great design to showcase Chris' color choice! Your dessert yellow worked in beautifully too! TFS

We both had the same idea for this week's design! And I love what you did with it, especially the white stenciled design over the blue base layer. Pretty flowers, lovely sentiment!

Very pretty use of the challenge colors. Brilliant idea to stencil white over the blue background - I thought it was DSP before reading your photo details.
