We have a fun Get Spooked Challenge on the Ways to Use It (WT816) today. So I think this spooky graveyard card will definitely fit right in. Looks like things didn't turn out too well for the fellow the grim reaper is pointing towards. For the bg, I used the Wrinkle Free Distress tech on white paper using some yellow, orange & purple Distress inks.
When it dried, I used the splatter bg to stamp over it w/ gold ink & used gold embossing powder. Then I put the panel in my Misti & stamped the graveyard & crow. Leaving the panel in place, I put the white layer w/ the oval cut out on top & stamped the grim reaper, took the white panel off & stamped him again. The tombstone & ghost were stamped on white & fussy cut.
thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ closeups & links: The Write Stuff

Your wrinkle-free distress piece is fab, Julie. I really like the way you layered the aperture panel over it, using it as a matting layer as well as background.

What a great Halloween card Julie. I love that yummy BG and how you used the die cut with it. That grim reaper looks as though he means business. Thanks for playing in the challenge and getting “spooked”. Happy day and hugs
