Today's challenge was to create clouds. I learned much from the video posted. This sky uses the second technique where you watercolor in the shapes of the clouds with clear water, and then paint blue in around that. I went back to pull in a little of the cerulean blue, going back again with very dilute Ultramarine blue for the underneath shadows. I created a little field rimmed with trees to ground the sky with a little splatter of Umber. I have been working on clouds all week for a class and they are challenging. I left the sentiment off as I expect to use this to send a little note of some type to someone. Thanks for this awesome cloud challenge for us.

Your clouds look fabulous and I love the colors in them. I thought both of those techniques were great and so glad you played along. How fun that you were learning to do clouds in your class this week, too. You created a beautiful field.

Beautiful! Your clouds are stunning! I thought it was really fun using that technique! I love the bits of gray at the bottom of your clouds. I have been looking at clouds a LOT lately and they do have a lot of gray on the lower ends! You created a gorgeous scene!

Beautiful job on this whole card! You really captured the essence of clouds billowing in the sky . The freshly tilled rolling hills has me daydreaming that soon they'll be planted with grape vines as I have a feeling there MUST be a winery just over that last rise. Right into my fav's since this simple scene truly stimulated my imagination.
