For today's Color Challenge I used various Distress Inks, instead of the SU ones but tried to get in all the shades!
I made the frame piece by smooshing a watercolor panel into inks on my craft mat that I had spritzed with water - Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon and last - Shabby Shutters.
I rubbed one ink at a time on my craft mat, spritzed with water and then pressed the watercolor panel into the color until I was happy with the coverage. I dried the panel with my heat tool and went onto the next color.
I die cut the smooshed piece with Halfsies dies from The Greetery.
I already had the branch, leaves and acorns made from a previous project using Botani Cuts -Mighty Oak also from the Greetery. I colored each piece by sponging with Distress inks and then glueing the pieces together.
I got the dessert in making it a Thanksgiving card!
Thank you to LeAnn for choosing my last weeks color challenge card as a favorite!

I assume this opens up. Love the green panel inside, and the wonderful combination of smooshed colors with the oak leaves. Too bad they turn that rusty brown for the rest of the year. Hugs, dear friend!

That background is absolutely gorgeous! I love that smoosh technique. One never knows what you'll get but it always comes out lovely. You've created a truly beautiful Thanksgiving card!

Fabulous! Love how you took your time with the background for nice, distinct colors. Terrific die-cut branch, leaves and acorns. Great layout. Well done!
