Tanya has a very nice gallery of cards and I chose her Sunflower and Sawdust card to CASE. I changed colors, seasons and used pine sprigs and a pinecone in place of her sunflower. I cut the pinecone and branch from crumb cake and the pine sprigs from ocean tides. I sponged on distress inks and attached everything together. The plaid paper was cut with a PTI die and placed on the crumb cake card base, which I had sponged with vintage photo and golden glitz inks. The sentiment panel is torn vintage cream cardstock, embossed with a PTI woodgrain impression plate and highlighted with brushed corduroy distress ink. I stamped the sentiment in americana ink. Here's Tanya's pretty card.

Fabulous card! I love all the changes you've made. The plaid panel makes the rest of the card pop. Love it! Thank you for playing along in the challenge!

Sue, what a wonderful holiday card. The pinecone and pine branches are beautiful and I love, love the die cut background layer with the twigs pop up around the frame.

What an interesting PTI die you used for that beautiful plaid paper! Love your sentiment strip ... it looks so much like a piece of birch bark! Beautiful rustic design!

I adore plaid for winter cards. That die cut panel with the little twigs coming out of it works so well to support your pine die cuts! I love that torn edge panel; why don't I remember to do that more? :-) Super card!

Sue, I love your dies and that great plaid. So warm and comforting. Really great case and holiday card. I am sitting here watching Hallmark Christmas movies and this fits right in with them. Lovely. Hugz

I love that you mixed the cardstock colors in those dies, it gives it such interest to have different levels of color on the petals of the pinecone so much.
