Hello, It's pumpkin time and each year I make some version of these for my home and my friends.
I dried the collection of twigs for months, so that they are good and distressed. Sometimes I cut a SLIT in the twig and then they can hold NAME CARDS at a place setting on the table.
These were hot glued to a grapevine wreath for friends door, with some beautiful rustic twine woven ribbon (kraft color with orange stripes at edge). looks great.
I use varied width's and lengths of paper in the Paper Rosette Die strip to make pumpkin 'round', that die is 1 1/4" deep and 10 1/4" long measure for full strip of paper rosette.
I make at least a couple rows the full length, for the largest rosettes. but i reduce the length for the shorter Rosettes. One at right is more similar sized layers like a pumpkin 'block'. hahah
1" circle punch used at the top and 1 1/2" circle punch paper used at the bottom to hide the center, lots of hot glue to hold the rosettes together, the twig down the center hole, and then attach them in a tower and the top/bottom circles.
i handcut some paper and then felt for the leaves and used S U BBS marker to draw in veins. hand wrote the Tag greetings, from leftover strips, punched and added twine to tie to twigs. sponged with S U choc chip/crumb cake/ and also Baked Brown sugar alternately.
wrapped some old stash S U copper wire.
ENJOY and have some fun with the leftover bits (even make the pumpkins variegated in different papers for each layer?)
stay well, happy holiday season, TFL
Teresa
