The Clean & Simple Challenge this week (CAS607 - cursive - 10/12/29) was to use a cursive sentiment on your project. The cursive sentiment could be a stamp or your own handwriting. Because my handwriting is illegible, I opted to find a stamp in my sentiment stash with cursive writing.
The cursive sentiment is from Unity Stamps, Having Hope. I bought the set intending to use the Bible verses on the inside of cards, never imagining that the first card I would make would have the sentiment as the focal point on the outside. Thatâs what I love about SCS Challenges, they take me out of my design-rut! Ha...
The card came together quickly after I settled on the carved heart shape as the base for the sentiment. The sentiment was stamped before dry embossing with the wood grain texture plate.
I raided my supply of fussy cut pieces from SU Bird Ballad dsp and placed them after stamping a soft trail of speckles (SU Waterfront) on the card front in back of the pieces. A few tiny pearls, a brush of Wink of Stella and a bow of green linen thread finished off the piece.
Thank you kindly for taking the time to look at my card for the CAS Cursive Challenge.

This is beautiful. Your bird and flowers work so well with the sentiment centerpiece. And the woodgrain texture is lovely to highlight that beautiful verse. Wonderful card.
