The fabric reminded me of a card that a SCS friend and swap buddy, CJ sent to me as part of the Bakers Dozen swap. She sent along an extra image which I used today. Here's her card:
I was motivated by her beautiful coloring to practice with my colored pencils. I don't use them enough. I cut the colored image with a stitched rectangle die and mounted on black. The gingham scrap added to the country look.
My card will be sent a Senior friend. I send her cards at least once a month. This is a good one for the start of October; I will include some corny jokes about apples and autumn.
Thanks for the inspiration, Julie! Thank you for looking!

Great job with the pencils and this image. One of my all time favorite house mouse stamps. You really did a fantastic job with it. Sure your friend will love it. TFS

Diane, this is fabulous! My experience has been that these House Mouse stamps can be challenging to color. Your pencil coloring of this adorable image is really great! Your red card stock base and yellow gingham panel are the perfect backdrop!! Your senior friend will certainly love this!

Adorable as well as beautiful! Pencil coloring, paper colors and touch of black matting...perfection! Gingham does feel like fabric. Superb. Just pinned this gem.
