A tip in the General Forum here said to use the leftover cardstock from making a Joy Fold card to make a slimline card and I thought that was brilliant!
The Magic In This Night DSP has a piece in which the bats can be cut with the Hallows Night Magic Dies. So, I cut 3"x4" pieces of both that paper and Black Glitter paper and die-cut bats from both. Then, I swapped the bats.
The sentiment features a technique I learned from Elizabeth Price of Seeing InkSpots - swipe diluted Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock, then stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink on the damp cardstock. The ink will bleed slightly for a delightfully spooky effect! Then you can crumple the paper up will still damp and it'll dry in that shape. LOVE!!!
Another thing I did was spray the entire finished card with a concoction of 70% rubbing alcohol and Champagne Shimmer Paint. Put about 5 drops in a Stampin' Spritzer, fill with rubbing alcohol, roll between palms to mix, then go crazy spraying it!
