Lisa is our hostess for the WTUI challenge and you can find her intriguing challenge HERE. With a day off, I hope to create something later using a beautiful envelope I received and saved, but here's the sample I made.
DH collects watches, and recently did a review of them to see what needed new straps, batteries etc. One he decided to throw out, so I said no, give me the dial. He said I could make something beautiful with it. This is funky rather than beautiful, but I like it
For the background I took some DP and stencilled it with Timeless Classic stencil in black, and edged with ablack Sharpie. Since we all know that time flies, I decided to make my watch face into a little bug, so I used circles and a die from First Edition âClocksâ. I edged the black circles with a gold pen, and added wobbly eyes. The wings (and sentiment) are from Art Journey âYour Wingsâ. The wings were stamped and embossed with black, then coloured with Twinkling H2Os and a sprinkle of Pixie Powder. The sentiment was stamped on a scrap of gel print, with âgoodâ stamped again and popped up to emphasise it. I added a clock hand cut from one of my tomato paste tubes, and a silver arrow on the sentiment. Across the card I added all the digits from the clock face, cut from silver. And as old watches always specified how many gems they had, and I was fascinated by the concept of watches having rubies in them, I added some red gems around the rim of the clock face.

In love, in love, in love! I love watch parts, have a few myself. My dad was a clock and watch guy too, collected both. There is just something about the symbolism of a clock. Favd.

I like the numbers randomly placed on the dp, Sabrina. Great looking card with a reminder that we are in control as to how we spend our time. Love the added watch piece and the way you used it~
