ETA - a TH single word sentiment in the top left corner, cut from the edge of a gel print.

For some reason, DH and I were looking at tree dies about two weeks ago. He couldn't find the sort of tree he wanted, but he liked these, and since the shipping from 123-Stitch is very affordable, he offered to get them for me.
I made the wrinkle free distress background with DOX inks last night. I don't think it's my favourite use for them, for my taste the end result is a bit too faded (except on glossy photo paper), but it was fine for what I wanted. This morning I used torn paper to sponge in a couple of layers of green in the foreground. The trees and safari animals were cut from watercolour and sponged with distress inks.
I added a bird in the sky, and a doodled border. Will probably add a sentiment when I know what I'm going to use it for.

Those trees suit your African animals to a T. Love the sponged sky background and those hills you created!

I am a fan of those trees. Think they are amazing and wish we had them here in my country.

The DOX bg came out perfect as a sky!! I like the sponged in green parts too a lot.

All perfect for those animals.
