I love the "feel" of Hawaii with its lush greenery and bright flowers. It always evokes for me a sense of serenity and joy and the embrace of the "Aloha" spirit. I hope it does the same for this week's tea party recipient, LeAnna, who loves gardening and music.
I have a medium sized musical score stamp I had intended to stamp randomly for my background, but after seeing Vickydee's lovely card, I knew the score needed to be the entire background. Thank goodness for Google. And, here's a link to Vickydee's card:
My printer is acting up and I don't have the patience to contact tech support, so the score printed out in a soft gray which I liked. I die cut two rectangles and cut off the corners to create my corners. I thought I had everything perfectly placed, so I stamped the clef. Of course, afterwards, I wish I had stamped it differently. Why can't I see that BEFORE I commit. There was too much blah space on the card, so I added the die cut Hugs, which helped tremendously. Glued down the flowers and called it done.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is filled with a sense of serenity and joy too. Aloha.

Your card is lovely. I like the greyscale music. I used paper for my music but have a stamp too. Unfortunately, my stamp is always a bit finicky and I didn't have time to fuss this week. I like how we both had the same thoughts yet our cards show our unique touches. Great minds think alike.

I recognised the flowers immediately - they look fabulous against the terrific greyscale background (you should print lots of these backgrounds before you get the printer fixed). I digress, your card is wonderful Debbie, the photo corners looks great and the "hugs" are the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for bringing all of these smiles to our Miss Carla's family.

Lovely use of that treble clef stamp. I always think it's perfect with flowers, as it's so ornate and decorative. Your flowers are so soft and pretty, and I think those tiered corners are very effective.
When I'm not sure about placement, I will stamp on a sheet of acetate and lay it over my background till I'm happy. In fact, I did that just today, consulting with DH over three possible bird stamps to use, and not wanting to stamp till I was sure.
Your printer accident was perfect, the soft gray couldn't be better if you'd set out to choose it.

Debbie, this is gorgeous!! The soft gray musical score and placement of the treble clef were happy accidents that set the stage for the tropical flowers and Hugs die cut. This is one of those wonderful pieces of art determined to burst into creation. Thanks for pouring so much love into this. LeAnna is sure to love it.

Oh, this is very pretty. Love the big treble clef and those gorgeous hawaiian flowers in the bright colors. The corners are really well done and the two hugs are perfect!
