I made a sky with the tutorial. After brushing on my inks to watercolor paper with a 1/2" flat watercolor brush, I misted with water. Then, I placed my stencil over the panel. Let dry before removing. If any area is not completely dry, heat dry.
Panel with image is popped up with dimensionals.
You can use a stencil, stamp, or a variety of items with this technique.

I love Christmas cards that tell the real story about Christmas. This holy night is so beautifully represented in the use of this watercolor technique. I love the swirls, as on that night I can imagine the excitement of the heavens swirling above rejoicing in the wonders of that glorious night!
