Too much stuff on this project to list!!! Before I read about the challenge, I received a Pinterest email and in there were some collage ideas using calendars, which is what sparked this whole thing: a card and a bookmarks (or whatever) for Abigail and Aric. I'm sure you can figure out which bookmark is for whom. In the background of each is a family and kindness dictionary page from my old dictionary. I stenciled some stars on each, a few stamps, the suns and stars are from an old pair of flannel pjs...flannel means comfort to me. Lots of washi tapes, a handmade blue flower button, the whole kit and caboodle.
Forgot to add that this is also for the alphabet challenge: Y is for yarn and yogurt. I was eating Oui by Yoplait maple yogurt while making this and I used the tear off foil on the card. I used yarn on one of the bookmarks.

LOTS of stuff to look at here, too - love the Popeye and all the bright colors. Grooving on your use of dictionary pages for anchoring backgrounds.
Just yesterday as I dusted the FIVE LARGE dictionaries I own, I considered that I really should use at least 4 of them for craft projects - but I have such a hard time tearing a page from any book - yet - when researching a word, I always end up doing it on the internet . . . .

Love, love, love it all. Jean your bookmarks are super special and I love how they all match, yet look so unique. Rounded corners and Stapled corners - genius! Thanks for bringing all of the paper smiles to the teaparty Jean.

Well fun, fun, fun seems like a bit of an understatement because these are so much more. Love all the personalized details on each of the book marks. I think these will be treasured and, hopefully, placed in a treasured book as well.
Wonderful. And I laughed when you used Yogurt for "Y" and laughed more that you used the foil. Brilliant.

Oh. You must have had such fun creating these, Jean, hunting out the different elements to use for each person. That washi tape is gorgeous, and oh yes, flannel PJ's are comfort. I still remember a flannel nightdress I made when I was about ten, light blue, with a little duck pattern. And when I was snipping a seam, I accidentally snipped the main fabric too :-(. You made the button???
