Years ago, I bought a card that had very simple line drawings of a hippo and birds with the title of this card as the sentiment. I think I still have the card and I certainly was thinking of it as I painted and drew this.
No hippo though, I ran out of room.
Many challenges visited today! This is what I chose for the IC: https://www.softsurroundings.com/p/valetta-print-jeans/
Not the model with the jeans but the pillow behind her! I have purchased from this site, although only on sale or outlet! I love their stuff! Very good quality! I will wear a pair of jeans from them today.
Lots of blues happening for the WT and F4A. I painted stripes of blue, varying the hues and shades. Bubble wrap stamped some blue metallic paint and doodled and drew some fun birds for the MIX. I do remember that Ed Emberly, although I don't recall that we had any of his books. I tended more toward fairy tales and beautifully illustrated books. I immediately thought when I read the challenge 'the thumbprint guy!' No thumbprints on my card though.

this is cool, and that is fun to read about the Jeans too Jean.
Me, I picked up a sleeveless tank top style thick tee shirt type material ankle length dress with side pockets that came in a tall size that actually skims the tops of my feet ( YAY ) when it was boiling hot here.

This is so cute, Jean! Love your doodles & the birds w/ the open mouths are perfect. Don't know why, but they remind me of the seagulls in Finding Nemo..Mine...Mine.. Mine..
