This is a card for my sons 25th birthday. There is a lot of blue, so it can be for Carolyns blue birthstone. However, i am also using it for my birthstone ...with a cool explanation. Anyone who has seen my cards knows that I like a lot of color, so how ironic is it that my june birthstone is the very blah pearl - ugh!. I was reading about birthstobes to see if I would just steal a better month and pretend I was born then, when I found an amazing factoid. Here I have suffered with the ugly pearl for 62 years and never knew that June is one if the 3 months with 2 birthstones. The origional stone, the Alexandrite, became too expensive and rare, so someone with no sense of color chose the pearl as a substitute. Alaxendrite speaks to my soul...it is reds to purples in one type of light, and blues to greens in another type if light....my kind of rock. So here is my card in honor of Alexandrite. Come play along 8n this monthsF4A challenge. TFL, Francie

This is jaw dropping fabulous Francie. Your work with Sharpies is exceptional, I have never seen anyone use them so perfectly as you. I always love seeing cards you have made for your boys, soooooo full of love and colour. I do love pearls, however I am thrilled to bits to learn about your Alexandrite birthstone discovery. Thank you for bringing this incredible sample to the F4A gallery Francie.

That birthstone sounds gorgeous!! My daughter's is the opal and depending on where you get it (what kind of opal) it can be with fiery reds to beautiful greens and blues.
Anyway, I love, love love all the gorgeous color on your bg and image! I also love color so it speaks to my soul as well! Love your combos of color, it all is so eye pleasing and makes me want to look at it over and over again! Hope your son frames this card!

You did this with Sharpies? Wow is all I can say. Well, ha, I can say more- your colors are amazing with the blue and orange and hint of purple. Fun embellishments too. This is so gorgeous!
