This is a recipe challenge that required using circles, die cuts or punches, butterflies, patterned paper and a Birthday sentiment. I was seeing spots before my eyes (circles) by the time I was done with this card! I chose a DSP pattern that featured small circles and mounted it on a panel of Coastal Cabana CS. I used the Scallop Trim border punch to punch a border that represented a row of half circles, adhered it to the left side of the card front and attached it to a Naturals White card base. I stamped my sentiment from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set on Whisper White CS and die cut it with the second to smallest Stitched Shapes oval framelit. I used the next larger oval to cut the Coastal Cabana one for behind it. I punched out a bunch of circles in the 3 sizes of Baked Brown Sugar, Delightful Dijon and Coastal Cabana, played around with them till I was happy with their positioning and adhered them down. I assembled the sentiment piece and added it with dimensionals. I found 3 little wooden butterflies in my stash which fit perfectly and finished off with some Enamel shapes to add a little extra interest. On the inside I added more of the punched out border to a narrow strip of the DSP and positioned it on the left side of a Whisper White insert with another sentiment on it. I also sprinkled a few circles around the outer edges.

Eunice, this is really pretty. The extra circles you punched and added in really were worth the effort as they add another layer of interest and bring out the colours in the DSP more. I like the little wooden butterflies - I think I might even have a few of them in my stash too! Thanks for playing along with us again at As You See It.

I love the punched circles with the circle patterned paper behind Eunice - it adds real depth to your card. Those little wooden butterflies are great too and frame your sentiment beautifully. Thanks for playing along with us over at As You See It this week!

I love the textured paper you used to punch some of the circles and oval backing. It really adds interest! The wooden butterflies are a great touch, too, Eunice! Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenges!
