As usual, a challenge...duh, Jean. I wanted to use this new stamp but I think it was just a bit busy. In retrospect, I wish I had done one focal point flower at a time, because there really are only the three chrysanthemums and then the bud opening at the top right; the rest is leaves and background. but I had '3' in my head, fortunately I stopped at '2' for my first painting.
Stamped it in the Gina K amalgam, did a wash of light gold with a little green for the leaves. Green has all but vanished and I didn't really want to add more, as I wanted to keep it warm. Used more yellows, reds and some browns for highlights and shading. I didn't want to cover it with a sentiment so I broke the sentiment up in four pieces. The inside says 'Autumn a mosaic of them all. In this case, the autumn is the watercolor, not the spring, but you get the idea.
Everything kind of ran together in this stamp so I did my best to stay within each main element; that was the biggest challenge of all.

Your stamp is just beautiful and perfect for the challenge, Jean. My stamp was busy with leaves and that made it a bit harder. I gave it a few tries before getting it somewhat like I needed it to be. I love your sentiment to go with those gorgeous flowers.

That is a gorgeous stamp. And I love the Autumn spin you developed. One of the reasons I never put my garden to bed...there is beauty in dried plants!
The way you used the quote draws our eyes into every corner. Making the scale of the flowers all encompassing. Well done, bfnm, exceptionally well done!
