Today Jean has challenged us to hammered embossing. I went downstairs and found a rubber mallet on hubby's workbench and felt like a cartoon character carrying it up the stairs. I tried to hammer the double circle pattern from SC216 into the paper. I think it came out pretty well. I intentionally chose paper with a white core so I could sand it and reveal the white for added interest. This border stamp has been hanging around on my list of stamps to finally use and I paired it with one of my newest Waffle Flower purchases. I love these fun gals! I colored them in blueberry and strawberry colors and added a speech bubble for the sentiment. The white card base looked boring to me, so I stamped "Hi friend" repeatedly to make it a little less plain. Added my two favorite standby's--Stickles and an action wobbles.

You mean like in Roger Rabbit????? that is too funny...nice to know the rubber mallet works. Such a cute card, I think choosing that dot folder was a very good idea.

How fun is your card. I like the idea of the white core cardstock, and love your fun card- and the wobble feature- this will really put a smile on the face of the recipient!

Well, I didn't picture Roger Rabbit until Jean said it, but I did picture a cartoon version of you with a big comical mallet! Love that you stamped all over the white card base. It definitely added some zip. You hammered and sanded like a pro. Sweet card and so so fun. Wobble, wobble (I love wobbles and stickles too).

I love that you used a rubber mallet. Jay keeps offering to bring one upstairs to help me sleep!! Love the white core of the blue, and fun images you added to this fun card.

What a fun and happy card, Jen. The border stamp is lovely, you'll have to use that again. The sanded hammered embossing looks great. I need to work out which of my card is Bazzill and which is white core, because I think the look you got is super. I was going to go and get our rubber mallet from the tent - but it was easier to use what was on my desk.
