This card was made for a sketch challenge that had the optional theme of "autumn". It was a little harder for me to come up with this paper combo since I usually don't make fall cards.
The yellow washi tape horizontal stripes match the colors of the yellow leaves in the left panel, but appear brighter because of the lighting angle. The other four horizontal stripes are from fall pattern papers cut 3/4" wide and about 1-3/8" long. To save yourself a lot of angst, cuta strip of scrap cardstock that is a bit wider and longer than the area you want to fill with the stripes, then apply your stripes, and trim the piece exactly to fit the area. I added a slender piece of black cardstock to cover the joint where the left panel and horizontal panels met. It dressed it up and gave you more latitude for placement.
The orange leaves were stamped with black onto a varied orange paper, then die cut. I die cut 3 more leaves from orange cardstock to lift them up for added dimension before gluing them onto the card front.
The sentiment is from my first step set from Scrapbook.com, and was stamped onto white cardstock, then punched to length using a label punch. Since the words were longer than the punch, I cut the strip of white just a bit taller and longer than the punch. Then stamped the sentiment in black, and fed the strip into the punch from the FRONT of the punch to punch one end at a time to the right length. This is a great trick to get custom length labels that I like to use.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5".
