Some of the best memories of my life are from my school days. I made wonderful friends, had great teachers (for the most part) and learned so much. I loved English most of all. I loved to write, create poetry, imagine stories and read great works of literature. I loved Shakespeare. I loved French and being able to read and converse with my friends in another language, learning all the interesting parts of speech and conjugating verbs. I loved geography and finding out all about different countries of the world, where they are, what were their customs, flags and languages. I loved learning about weather and the composition of the Earth, about different regions and how plant life changes. I loved history and finding more about the people that inhabited the world long ago and how inventions changed the Earth. I loved religious instruction and learning more about my faith. I loved art and learning to sew. Perhaps I was not quite so fond of mathematics, physics and physical education. Although I loved learning about plants and animals in biology, I was not quite so fond of dissecting animals. The world of the microscope was amazing. I loved music and choir. Later, I took Russian, German and Italian and loved those. I enjoyed learning about government and philosophy. I never stopped loving learning, and to this day, a new subject, a new notebook and a sharpened pencil set my heart pounding with joy!
