I used a watercolored gnome, popped up my sentiment and used a fun background like she did but my gnome is smaller and more serious (and not bearing a gift), My sentiment is different, and I used a map instead of dp. I also decoupaged the map as it had folds and I wanted it to be very flat and accentuate the fun part it.
This is also for Polly's(Peeps 321) MMTPT633 - and going off to Howard and Paula who are dealing with some really hard things. They live in Conroe, Texas so I made sure my map includes their town (near Houston). They love gnomes and we are suppose to have a star if we want extra cookies (see mine on top of the San Jacinto Battleground Monument?) and a pattern (my pattern is my brushstrokes from the Mod Podge - lame but it works).
I think my gnome looks like the travelocity gnome - I should have went with those colors but it works.
Found this map and 49 other states at a garage sale yesterday. So fun!
Hugz!
Congrats again MaryJo.

Nancy, this is such a fun and special card!! I love that you used a colorful map to customize the card for them. And that gnome does look like the travelocity gnome. Our family loves the Amazing Race and that little gnome is on there are lot. Our oldest daughter has moved out but comes home to hang out some. I'm going to see if she wants to come watch an Amazing Race soon.

This is wonderful, Nancy! I love the TX map..I know just where Conroe is..about 5 miles from where I used to live. I miss everything Tx except the weather. I don't like the heat & humidity.

I love this card. Sugar Land is about where the bottom of the right side of the San Jacinto monument is just on the Houston side of the Brazos River. Such a great card. I still have mine to do. Maybe my afternoon project today.

Nancy, this is such a fun card. I love the map in the background and the fun gnome. I especially love the frame on the map and how it anchored the gnome and sentiment.

How awesome is this card- love the image and your recycled garage sale find! Your framed map is so sweet and personalized for your Teapot Tuesday card. A beautifully thoughtful and artistic card!
