This card is for 3 challenges....Margs DTGD challenge, CAS challenge and also the Alpha challenge W = Warm Wishes, winter knits.
My favourite colours are blue and pink/purple in that order so when I saw the CAS challenge I knew exactly which colours I wanted to use. I did use TH distress ink on the mittens but the pink seems to look more red. I used 3 different blue inks...again only 2 are showing.
The plaid reminds me of my school scarf and the mittens remind me of some I used to have as a young child, plus I am a big fan of cable knit jumpers....or was. They seem to not be required where I live now.
I sponged the plaid using a stencil, stamped and die cut the mitts and then ran my pink ink pad over my EF and ran that through my BS. Nothing fancy.
The sentiment was masked before I stamped my cable knit behind it. I feel it needs some bling but this is for a CAS challenge so I had better stop right now lol.
TFL. Happy day

Brrrr- this is making me shiver! I also love these colors but in the order pink/blue : ) I love the knit panel that is embossed and this card is perfect just the way it is- no bling needed!

Such great colors and patterns and I love those mittens!!! Reminds me of my school days too - walking 2 miles to school in the snow while it was blowing sideways. My kids think I am making it up but it was real!!! Hugz
