Yet another effort to pare down my "To Do" stash of unfinished Christmas cards and also complete more SCS challenge catch-ups. In researching challenges for this card, I found another record 14 challenges it would fit!! Here they are:
1) WT783 - Ways to Use It Challenge/ "We've Got Curves" - 3/12/20. My card has curves in its sentiment oval and its snowflake design.
2) CCC20MAR - Christmas Card Challenge/ "Peace" - 3/1/20. Anything Christmas brings me an overwhelming sense of peace, especially if it snows at Christmas. Though not common in my neck of the woods, we have had a few snowy Christmas Eves...delicious!
3) USEIT2020 - Use It Challenge/ Use items that haven't been used and are gathering dust..."old, old" or "new but old" - Annual/ 1/1/20. Finishing and modifying a 2017 Christmas card kit design. Using 2015 Holiday Snowflake EF, stamp set, metallic snowflakes, washi tape.
4) AOCC20 - All Occasion Card Challenge/ March 2020 - Annual/ 1/1/20. This card is part of my monthly Christmas card goals for March.
5) CAS566 - Clean & Simple Challenge/ "Old New is New New" - 12/30/19. My old made new comes from finishing and modifying a 2017 Christmas card kit design, Using 2015 Holiday Snowflake EF, stamp set, metallic snowflakes, and washi tape.
6) SC778 - Sketch Challenge - 12/4/19. Here is the link to the sketch: Sketch #778. #4 is my embossed snowflake; #5 is my metallic snowflake, #3 is narrower and lower than sketch (mottled metallic washi tape); #6 changed from rectangle to oval and switch to right side of card.
7) DDSKETCH0619 - SCS Dirty Dozen Monthly Themes - June 2019/ "All the Bells & Whistles" - 6/17/19. My card is using the sketch challenge and adheres to the theme with using fancy embellishments and specialty gadgets: lots of gold bling, gold embossing, embossing dimension, snowflake die-cut and the specialty metallic snowflake embellishment.
I tweaked the sketch a bit: 1) used a smaller oval than shown; 2) added snowflakes, embossed and metallic behind the oval as part of background; 3) stretched the small rectangle strip to go from side to side.
ABC11G7 - Alphabet Challenge, Round 11/ "Letter G" - 4/17/19. My letter "G" is for Gold metallic dsp, embellishments, and in the washi tape.
10) SCSCCJAN19 - SCS Dirty Dozen Christmas Card Challenge/ "It All Started Upon North" - 1/1/19.
Snowy weather and snowflakes definitely make you think of the North Pole and Santa Claus.
11) MIX277 - Mix-Ability Challenge/ "Portion Control" - 5/18/18. Embossed off the page. Mediums used: gold embossing powder; Versamark ink.
13) F4A472 - Free 4 All Challenge/ "Where's My Mojo?" -
3/8/17. My card to remake is: Wishing You Joy. I love snowflakes, so I hoped this would give me incentive to finish this card. I kept the snowflake, theme, a bit of the layout, but added layers.
14) FS567 - Featured Stamper/ "Julene 23" aka Julene, who has a lovely gallery to browse. I chose this snowflake card as my card inspiration: brrrrr. I kept the snowflake theme and offset my snowflakes, as hers look because of the image overlay. I did not add an image, but used snowflake, washi tape, and a sentiment oval instead.
