This card was made for a rectangle sketch challenge that required a flourish and sentiment rectangle.
When I saw the flourish, I knew I wanted to us my Stampin' Up! (SU) "Stitched Stars" dies (my first time to open the pack!). Of course, stars are shiney, so I used gold cardstock. I wanted the background to be high contrast to the gold, and be a holiday color, so chose a green glitter cardstock.
The hardest part was getting an appropriate sentiment to fit the rectangle. I chose the sentiment from SU's "Bright & Beautiful" set, and heat embossed it using gold detail embossing powder. I cut the sentiment out using a stitched die, then cut out its mat from gold cardstock by using two nested dies from the same die set as the sentiment panel.
Simple gluing (being careful not to get glue on the gold cardstock, since it's nearly impossible to remove without damaging the finish).
After gluing the main panel to a 4-3/4" gold mat, I glued the completed card front to a 4-3/4" square white card base.
I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5". Since all the parts are die cut, it made the card go together relatively quick.
I think it's a really nice looking holiday card for someone special.

I have a love-hate relationship with glitter. One benefit to the gallery - I can see glitter cards but not have the glitter here, so thanks for sharing
