More details on my blog Kath's Blog-Everyday Life Of A Crafter
I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to 5.1/2 square and applied Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks through Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Dots stencil using mini round blending tools. I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sticky Grid Sheets to the back of the Distress Watercolor card and placed it in my Stamping Platform. I lined up the Simon Says Stamp Because Of You stamp set from the STAMPtember release on the watercolor panel, using the whole stamp set still attached to the cover sheet, fixed Sticky Grid sheet on the cover sheet, closed the Stamp Platform door allowing me to pick up the stamps and cover sheet. I inked the stamps with a mix of Speckled Egg and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks, stamped on to the watercolor panel, sprinkled with the matching Distress Embossing Glazes and heat set. I moved the watercolor panel up and re-stamped as before.
I used the shadow die from Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Thank You to create an aperture on the panel and die-cut the thank you words from the waste from the shadow die. I trimmed another panel of Distress Watercolor card to be slightly large than the original panel, coloured the centre with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, spritzed with water to create that waterdroplet effect and fixed the stamped panel on top. I die-cut the thank you words twice more from Distress Watercolor card and layered with the stamped words on top to create a dimensional sentiment. I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, stamped the leaves from Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together with the same ink, sprinkled with Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Glaze and heat set.
I fussy cut the leaves leaving a thin border around the edge, fixed to the panel using Distress Collage Medium Matte and added the thank you words back into the aperture. I coloured Tim Holtz Idea-ology Bouquet Findings Flower with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Detailer Brush and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I decided to also colour the centres of the flowers with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, matted the panel on to another panel coloured around the edges with Vintage Photo and fixed to a 6" square White Card Blank.
