My Great Grandfather came here as a child from Ireland in the 1860's, he eventually worked as a Train Inspector. I love this set as the gentleman in the bottom Lt looks a bit like him! I am thinking it was a grand time to be alive, especially the wide open terrain and I love the Victorian dresses, but not the idea of wearing a corset..... LOL

Fantastic collage card and love the story on your grandfather. I love trains. I think I would like to have been in the roaring 20s and lived in the States. I bet it was a fun time. I can see me swinging my pearls lol. Awesome card. TFS. Happy day

absolutely awesome! I love your description and I had a visual of that time while reading it. (courtesy of Hell On Wheels - a great tv series with historic Railway building intertwined.) That sentiment is so spot on too!

What a cool grouping of vintage images, Shelly! I love this!!!!! I especially love the train - my Grandfather was an engineer on the Texas and Pacific - he got to be the first one with a radio - it was a very big event. I think of it every time I see a vintage train. Many hugz
