It's been a while since I used this old technique called "Trapunto" on paper.
Trapunto is inspired by a technique, dating back to the 14th century, when patterns were basted in a double layer of cloth.
The modern Trapunto consists of embossing and cutting away by hand the top layer and embroidering straight stitches.
For this card I used the AVEC Trapunto Stencil - Diamond Square, and a purple-green color changing thread.
I made a bouquet of paper flowers wrapped in a piece of curtain fabric for the center of the card, and I found a butterfly in my stash to decorate the left upper corner.
Accessories: Trapunto template from AVEC TR408 Diamond square/ Piercing tool/ Knife/needle and embroidery thread/ Paper flowers with pearls/ tuile/ butterfly /Ribbon/golden corner and lines stickers/
Techniques: Dy embossing- template cutting -paper piercing- embroidery
