Jen is our hostess for the Teapot Tuesday challenge which you can find HERE, along with why we are making it POP.
Being short of time, I combined it with Karen's Trace Your Stencil[/color] TLC challenge from yesterday. Last time I tried this with a stencil, I used a geometric which was certainly easier, but I wanted a woodsy background, and this TCW stencil was the most suitable thing I had. I did a monoprint with DOX ink and was happy with the result. I did use a dark brown marker for my outlining, rather than a black. I doodled a border all round the edges and added two layers of grass cut from a check DP - as is the sentiment. My hound dog was stamped on white card and coloured with Polychromos pencils. For his hat I printed some check and cut it with an IO die, cutting again from a cereal pack to add strength. The dog tag is liquid pearls.
I'd have loved time to do Jen's suggested Pop and Twist, as it's been on my "do it again" list for a while. But I settled for popping the dog's nose up on a foam dot, and the pops of colour from my red birds in the trees.

Oh Sabrina this is awesome and Nancy's Pop is going to love it. I already have my idea and was wondering how I was going to get the check on the hats that will be on my card. Yours looks so good and I love the dog and his pop on nose. The stencil BG is fantastic. TFS Happy day and will chat soon

What a cute card, and it was clever how you worked these two challenges together,

I love this Sabrina. What a fabulous fall card. I especially like the hat and doodled border. I have this stencil and now I want to take it out to try this technique. The subtleco.ors look great...like a sepia toned photo.

Oh this dog made me smile big time and that hat is just the perfect touch. Love the background you created and especially using dp for the grass -- fabulous! This is a Pop-Pleaser for sure.

Wonderful hat on the dog in the woods. Perfect card for POPS.
