Karen has chosen some lovely, but apparently challenging, colors this week. See all of those extra pieces behind my card. Let's just say there were a few attempts that never seemed to go in the direction I intended.
Finally I had enough rejected pieces that I started trying them out together and Voila! I got this. The border piece started out as a blended background piece that I had tried to add various texture and rose image stamp. I had thoughts of adding that tag in the background but apparently that's just NOT the way I work. "Just because you can doesn't mean you should."
(I actually know stampers who quote me saying this - back to me!)
Anyway, I'm pretty sure you can have some great fun playing around with these colors. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I guess this is where serendipity pays off, Chris. All those experiments came together to create such a beautiful card! Love all the different colors and textures!

Chris... You did ''awesome with these colors! Goes to show you're a TRUE ARTIST! I felt your pain as well as I ran my first card across a close friend, (I love her because she tells me the truth), she said it sucked! LOL! Your tags in the back are gorgeous and very worthy of posting! TFS
