This card was made for two different challenges, one required the use of a phone, and the other was a sketch challenge.

Since the sketch challenge required three elements equally arranged across the face of the card, I chose to use a cell phone for those elements. I found a graphic of a generic cell phone online and converted it to a cut file for my ScanNCut to cut out of black cardstock. I used scraps of silver cardstock to glue on the back of the phones where the cutouts for buttons were located. The screens were created by cutting out a panel of water reflections and glue, then trim with paper snips.

Both the smiley face and the word bubble were also images I found on the internet and converted them to cut files. The smiley face has a black circle behind the openings. For the word bubble, I stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up! (SU) "Petite Pairs" set using black ink. Then I glued the word bubble frame over it, and trimmed around the perimeter of the bubble. In both the cases for the black edges of the phones and word bubble, I used a black Sharpie pen to color the edges so the papers I glued behind them would't show white around the perimeter of the shapes.

The sketch included a solid line with a circle along the bottom, so I used this like a volume control on a cell phone to emphasize the "volume was turned up" by sending this card so the person would know I was thinking of them.

The bottom sentiment was created using Word and che Calibri font. I then cut it out to stretch across the full width of the card and glued it down, then hid the fact there was a paper strip there by gluing a thin red strip for the "volume" abutted against the edge of the word strip.

I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "3" out of a possible "5". If you have the phone diecuts, it would be easier than converting images to cut files for a digital cutter. I think this is a good friendship card to be used to let someone know you are thinking about them.
