I did not think I was going to like this card. I've had this mermaid waiting to be used for a few months and she looked so complicated to color, that I just kept putting her off. And I thought my Dappled Watercolor background looked terrible. You know how I usually make two of each of my cards, but I almost just made one of these. I'm so glad that I made two. Turns out she was fun to color. I printed her out on blue paper to give that watery look. And after I finished coloring I grabbed my favorite pool water stencil and sponged the water around her. I didn't mask, so I could keep that blurry watery look. Then I turned to my now dry background and still thought it was ugly. But once I die cut it and drew in some seaweed at the bottom, it turned out to be the perfect piece for this card. Sometimes I surprise myself.

Great job coloring that mermaid and surroundings. Your dappled bg works super for this setting and that hand drawn seaweed has so much movement and fluidity - Well done friend.
