Thank you Jeanne for being our hostess this week and selecting some fabulous colors for our Color Challenge CC806! Thereâs going to be some beauties this week created in these fun colors... So Saffron, Poppy Parade, and Pool Party! Whatâs even more fun is the dessert option... stripes, dots, or checks!
Iâve created my own designer background using cardstock in the challenge colors. Three rectangle dies were used to create two frames and a center panel. Note: The second frame was used to decorate the inside of the card.
Two ovals were cut from Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso on the Crumb Cake oval.
A flower and pineapple were stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Stampinâ Blends, Saffron, Poppy Parade, and Mossy Meadow.
A ribbon bow and rhinestone were added for the finishing touches.
I hope you join us in this week's challenge! I'll be looking for your creation! Thank you for taking a look!

I love your handmade paper and frame within a frame idea. Before I looked more closely I thought it was a long retired striped DSP which actually had Red Riding Hood instead of Poppy Parade. I loved that paper and this is certainly reminiscent of it. Your greeting and accents work beautifully with it.

Oh, now you're making me long for Hawaii! Oh, well, this card makes me happy just to dream of a trip there some day. Meanwhile, what a clever technique to make your own striped background paper, and it's oh-so-effective! Love the pretty bow, too!
