| | I chose a variegated piece of DSP in Cajun Craze and backed it with a Whisper White layer. I attached the Bermuda Bay ribbon around it then mounted it onto a Bermuda Bay card base. I punched 12 flowers out of Crushed Curry CS, 6 each of the two largest flowers of the Blossom Bunch punch then die cut three branches out of Bermuda Bay CS with the Beautiful Branches dies. I ended up trimming both leaves off one branch and one leaf from a second branch to keep it from looking too busy. I punched 3 each of the two sizes of circles out of Cajun Craze CS then embossed them in the Abstract Rain embossing folder to give them a bumpy appearance for the centers of my sunflowers. To make the sunflowers I adhered two large flowers and two smaller flowers together offsetting the petals each time to give dimension and bent them up slightly at the ends for added fullness. I layered the smaller circles on the larger circles and added them to the center of my flowers. I positioned the branches and flowers on the card front in a pleasing bouquet and adhered them, using dimensionals under the sunflowers. On Whisper White CS I stamped the sentiment with Bermuda Bay ink, cut it to size, bannerized the ends then adhered it to a piece of Crushed Curry CS trimming it's ends to match. I offset it over the ribbon with dimensionals, tied a double bow with the ribbon and added it over the flower stems, then popped some Bermuda Bay Enamel shapes on. |
