This is a close-up version of the 18th hand-stitched card of about 50 hand-stitched cards that I made in approximately an 18-month period, giving 44 of them in a large set to my Mom, who is a master cross-stitcher. I had been looking for several years to find a way to incorporate hand-stitching onto my cards, and when I watched a great YouTube tutorial by Jennifer McGuire, introducing a hand-stitching die by Paper Smooches, I knew that this could be my answer.
This is one of my first hand-stitched pieces. I was trying to create a very basic sampler look for this birthday card. I brushed the happy birthday die-cut with Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen to heighten the birthday message, and to add a bit of sparkle to this message.
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a closer look at my hand-stitched card. When you leave a message, you provide encouragement, which I appreciate.
Have an enjoyable day, and please be safe and stay well especially at this very challenging time.

So beautifully bright and cheerful. Your stitchery is exquisite. I'm so glad you have found a way to use this on your cards, and what an amazing treat for the recipient.
