CT = Spots and Stripes
I had thought to do something with an embossed spots and stripes . . . it really took on momentum when I received this fun Unity dotted flower and sentiment as an appreciation gift in my latest order.
I started with the Eggshell panel - I die cut it midway on an angle with my largest oval die. Emboseed the top half with the Swiss Dots EF. I don't have a striped EF so used my Score Board and scored the lower portion every quarter inch Then flipped it over and scored again in between the original lines (this gives a bit more definition. to the stripes) I stamped a bunch of polka dot flowers, fussy cut and curved the petals with a bone folder. These were attached following my oval die cut line. Die cut the leaf sprays from a reject green & gold technique panel and tucked them here & there. Stamped my sentiment on a piece of mauve then die cut with a (tweaked) Regal Label die and tucked aother polka dot flower where the corner had been.
This will go to a friend who has been suffering from depression and anxiety for several years, rarely leaving her house. This weekend she faced her worst fears and drove 60 miles ALONE to be with her son when he graduated.

I love this, Linda. So innovative, making those stripes. I also love your layout, and how you have one of those pretty polka dotted flowers peeking out from it's "mask". Fav'd.
