I have combined the Watercolor and Color Challenges this week.
Linda has asked that we give details of how we created our version of the technique, so here I go ....
The peony and sentiment were stamped on Watercolor Paper with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I used markers to add colour to the darker parts of the images as shown in the video tutorial. I then moved the colour into the petals and leaves with an Aqua Painter. Using the dry on dry technique, I kept adding more colour to the petals and leaves with an Aqua Painter and some ink dabbed on a craft sheet until I got the depth of colour that I wanted. For the background, I dabbed ink onto a craft sheet and added a little spritz of water. I started off with darker colour under the main flower and over the sentiment and then added more water to the ink on the craft sheet to create a watercolour wash for the rest of the background.
Thanks for looking.

Gorgeous card, Annette with those yummy colors and the technique. Like how you added a little darker for the sentiment to show. Thanks for the detailed deets. We all learn from them. Like how you described your shading with the layers of darker colors. Happy you joined the challenge. TFS

Beautifully done - I like the ripples of texture you got in your bg by starting with the deepest color around your flower and then pulling it out with a lighter wash.

Your card is gorgeous and you really made the sentiment pop with the darker ink. I love the color of your flower and it is so pretty. Thanks for joining the w/c challenge this week.

Delightfully pretty image done in the oranges against the blue background, and love the pop of colour under the sentiment. Great job on this week's challenge. Thank you for joining us.
