Phew, if you check out the accessories used on this card, believe me there was a lot used.
What fun I had making this. I wasn't going to do this week's MM challenge as I already had a long list of challenges to do but when I saw it was to do with gardens, I always think of flowers, butterflies and all the colours mingling. Think of this as my English garden...messy because everything grows together but it's colourful.
I started with gesso...doesn't everyone when they make MM LOL? Out came 2 panels from my stash. I have a lot of panels. One was done using the shaving foam technique (middle/bottom flowers) and another panel was using my gelli plate and household items. I used string on this print and I only had a bit left. Unfortunately you can hardly see the string but look for the white bit...that is what was on the print. It also had lots of texture but I cut that off..doh!
I used the panels to die cut my flowers using a SU set I've used once and the dies never. Need to change that. I kept the bits out of the die and decided to add them to the bottom of my panel, together with one of my orchid dried flowers I keep in my stash for MM projects. Crumbled them all up, topped them with clear gesso and then covered them with drywall tape. Plonked white gesso through the tape and once it was dry removed the tape. It gives a cool effect and looks like a fence...well in my little world and garden it does.
Oh did I mention I sprayed inks before doing all of this...rewind...inks sprayed and this time using a cardboard box instead of getting them all over everything on my desk.
Back to the garden....I also had some drywall tape on the panel. You can tell where as I ran whipped spackle through it and it sparkles. More spraying.
I wanted a path to my flowers and it got a bit splodged...let us say the brickie might have had one too many bevies....(Aussies will know what I mean LOL)...it sort of went a little wayward. A little like me when creating. I added some colour burst to my whipped spackle, whipped it up even more and voila we now have a sparkly orange (not red) paved path to my garden.
Flowers plonked on....creatively of course, twine added. Dots stamped and sentiment added.
I love butterflies and there was room at the top for one that my mate over East Helen (Helekins) had sent to me...she sent me a heap and I love them. Added my butterfly, distressed the edges and done.
Oh yep, wink of stella added on my flowers...it is very sparkly but the light is crappy here today.
Phew, that was long winded but I had such fun creating this. Welcome to my messy mixed garden.
Happy day and TFL

Wow Jayne. You are definitely getting into this mixed media thing. Love the beautiful coloured background with the splotches of colour. The English country garden flowers look like they gave a touch of the Aussie sunshine - deep and sunburnt.
