Yes I was a chicken about the WCW. I stamped my poppy in Versamark and used a sparkly ep. This white watercolor piece took a lot of time, lots of drying. I was happy with the background eventually but still didn't think much of the poppy, until I made the center a bit darker and added a little bit of watered down colors on it. I used a pinky red, two yellows and a turquoise. Still pretty white, I'd say. I talk big talk about being brave, but in truth, I'm not about watercolor. This is also for today's F4A and MIX. My garden is pathetic, not my fault as my landlord couldn't care less. He freaks about dandelions in the grass but doesn't care about weeds in the garden, including dandelions. I wish I could afford to clean it up and plant it. There are two gardens I would love: one full of poppies of different colors and an all green and white garden.

Beautiful flower and I love you added turquoise because it is a fave of mine. I think you are getting braver and braver with your watercolor and soon you will be very comfy with it. Psssst...check your WCW keyword...think you left out the first zero. We want to see it there with all the other daisies/flowers.

Maybe a cognitive reframe would help? Instead of trying to be brave, which implies there is some danger to be faced, how about being curious, which would allow a flexible "let's see what happens" approach.
Anyway, I think your little hello quite aptly compliments the soft pastels in a very gentle way.

It may have caused you some small doubts about your ability with watercolor, but your final product is really pretty! Great creation to cover 3 challenges.

Lovely with the beautiful soft colors. Glad you joined the challenge and shared your process. My favorite garden is my white flowers at dusk. They just glow. TFS

Beautiful and delicate!! You are very brave to do the WCW challenge. I for one have a hard time doing watercolor, so kudos to you for this beautiful effort!

I LOVE the soft washes on this, Jean! My problem, I add too much color at times! LOL You did a SUPER JOB on this!!! AND AS FOR GARDENING, you've got me beat there too! I stay away from the dirt & bugs! LOL I tried after we moved here, but the dirt was SO HARD & I ended up with Poison Oak! LOL I like just throwing out seeds & watching them sprout without all the work, OR in POTS! A SUPER JOB & BIG INKY HUGS FRIEND for your SWEET VISIT!!! ;)<3
