Crafter's of Faith for August is based in Isaiah 60:19. The part of the verse that spoke to me is paraphrased to the Lord will be the Everlasting Light. When I thought of light, I thought of lighthouses in the light they always have.
I began with my stenciling of the sunray, then added rocks. Then I stamped the lighthouse. I could see the rays coming through the lighthouse, so if I were to make this card again, I would stamp the lighthouse first, mask it, then stencil over the stamped image.
I started with a piece of left over Bristol paper and kept it the size it was. I then trimmed it down after adding the birds. In the end, it is an irregular size, but will fit in a 5 X 7 envelope with no problem. It is 5 1/2 inches in length and 4 3/4 in width. If I did this again, I would trim the paper before adding the birds.
I liked the challenge. I like the finished card.

Love the stenciled you used and love the lighthouse. August 7th is Lighthouse day so your card is so very timely as well. So cool that you had that scripture stamp.

What a beautiful and encouraging card. I love lighthouses and the reminder they bring of our strength through God. Beautiful reminder.
