So, the watercolor Wednesday a few weeks ago was to do some wet on wet and the video I watched was free hand leaves. So, I tried that. ( way way out of my comfort zone) and one thing I did was I also played with a #10 round brush. I think because, I tend to use pencils the most and I am using sharp tips so, I have been all this time water coloring with my smallest brushes. yeah, so watching that video the brush caught my attention and I decided to try this with a bigger one. and this is like leaf #abunch ( see mug shot here on the blog) and then I set all these aside.
This morning I had seen that Debby is the featured stamper this week, when I grow up I'd like to be able to watercolor awesome leaves like Debby so, I picked this gorgeous card to case and then picked this freehand leaf and diecut it with a Simon stitched die and popped up the sentiment on foam. Changes from Debby's card are I flipped mine to landscape, and stitched framed the edges instead of tearing. I also did not heat emboss anything or add any pencils for shadows to this. its really just watercolor and one tiny sentiment stamp. Debby, I hope you like this and enjoy your week! Thanks for these challenges ladies, & tfl.

I think your card came out WONDERFULLY!!! & I AM SURE Debby ALSO ENJOYS THIS!!! I too WISH I could wc like her! By the way, I read that with ROUND BRUSHES you can do detailed work as well! BECAUSE OF the point they offer!!! WHO KNEW??? A SUPER JOB!!!! ;)<3
This is really wonderful, Stacy! It looks like you got some wonderful leaf panels done with the technique! I love your tequila card, too! The sentiment is awesome!
