I inked the Ampersand and stamped on October Afternoon paper and cut it down to fit on the card blank. This was for an inspiration challenge, and the ampersand was a prop in one of the photos. If I had a Misti, I could have assured that the stamp was straight and cut down the patterned paper before stamping.

This came out pretty cool. I used to have a giant image like this - I need to go find it. Pretty paper!!!!

you know what though? you can stamp first and cut second and have it be straight. ( I do that with sentiments and then dies all the time because, left to my own devices I will run sentiments uphill all.the.time ) and this does look straight to me too.

It looks straight to me too, and it looks great ... but I think you should get yourself a MISTI - my stamping life was forever changed when I got mine.
