Karen is our hostess in the Color challenge this week, and she has given us some rich colors that we can use for a Christmas card, if we wish. Christmas in July is our dessert option this month. This week's colors are Cherry Cobbler, Pretty Peacock and Bumble Bee.
I stamped my gnomes and gifts on a new-to-me paper that's supposed to be good for colored pencils. Meh. I'm still looking for my favorite. I did manage to color them, and used Gamsol to smooth out the shading, then cut them out with my Scan 'n Cut.
On a piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the trees, then used the Mossy Meadow reinker, watered down a lot, to do a loose wash on the trees. I stamped the greeting and cut it out with a die from Blueprints 12, stamped a few snowflakes, and spread some glitter gel for the ground. A dot of Glossy Accents and some glitter on the gnomes' pompoms, and it was pretty much done!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Barbara your card turned out so cute! Sorry you didn't like the paper for using colored pencils but your cute gnomes turned out fabulous nevertheless, as did the scene you created. You'll laugh but I almost used this set too, so I'm glad you did, it works great with this color combo!

Barbara, your gnomes remind me of myself, lol, sticks for legs and round bellies. I'm not saying I'm cute my any means but these guys are adorable! I love your design and your artistic touch to all your cards! TFS
