It's time for a new Color Challenge! Karen is hosting and has chosen Cherry Cobbler, Pretty Peacock and Bumblebee. The dessert option this month (with the exception of last week's 800th Celebration) is Christmas in July. ETA: I also used colors similar to SU neutrals Night of Navy and Mossy Meadow.
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful participation in CC800! You totally rocked the challenge and we are so happy and grateful! Winners to be announced soon!
For my card this week I went cute, like totally cute critters in the woods wearing their winter garb LOL! The critters and the birch trees were all colored with Copic markers and die cut with matching dies. The background was ink blended, splattered with water and white gouache for "snow", and when dry added to the card base. The scene was created by hand cutting and adhering snow drifts, adding the tree directly to the panel, then popping the critters up with foam tape. A white gel pen was used to add more "snowflakes" to the sky, the critters and the trees. The sentiment was added along with a touch of shimmer to the berries to finish things off. More details on my blog.
Thanks for looking and I hope you'll join us this week for this fun challenge!

It's winter here and these totally cute critters would be right at home. Everything about this makes me smile Stef. Your colouring is beautiful as always and I love the scene you created.
